Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Job Description
The Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water/wastewater operations and maintenance that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a professionally licensed Engineer that has 8+ years of experience in project management for water/wastewater projects to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and either part-time or full-time (approximately 20-40 hours per week) in the Perris area.
As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the project manager for facility type projects, leading design and construction efforts. Projects will include operations and maintenance type work for water/wastewater facilities, such as liftstations, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, and well facilities. Other projects will include general facilities, like EV chargers, fire alarm systems, and communication towers.
- Oversee and manage consultants, reviewing and commenting on technical studies, submittals, RFIs, design drawings, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure all documentation and technical deliverables align with standards and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to oversee project progress and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Preparation of sketches and/or exhibits for various rehabilitation replacement work, when working directly with construction vendors.
- Prepare RFPs and other procurement documentation, assist in evaluating proposals, and participate in contract negotiations.
Job Requirements
As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related
- Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in providing project management on water/wastewater projects
- Preferred: Prior experience in engineering at construction phase
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
