Wastewater Construction Manager

Job Description
The Wastewater Construction Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in managing the construction of large wastewater treatment facilities, which can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a seasoned construction manager that has 5+ years of experience in construction management of water/wastewater treatment projects to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Van Nuys area.
Projects may include:
- Advanced Water Purification Facility
- Infrastructure for wastewater treatment projects
As a Wastewater Construction Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage daily construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Investigate and resolve construction or engineering problems efficiently.
- Evaluate and negotiate contractor change orders and extra work requests.
- Review construction timelines, identify risks, and support on-time delivery.
- Document work progress and prepare accurate pay estimates.
- Evaluate project effects on plant or facility operations and recommend adjustments.
- Work with City departments and external agencies to maintain project momentum.
- Compile monthly reports summarizing project status and key developments.
Job Requirements
As a Wastewater Construction Manager, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction management of wastewater/water facilities
- Proficient in cost estimating, scheduling, and project management for complex infrastructure
- Background in managing construction of large-scale industrial or treatment facilities
- Knowledge in tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and/or ProCore
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
