Job Description
The Recruiter / Program Coordinator selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in developing and implementing recruiting strategies for a municipal agency that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Recruiter that has 2+ years of experience in human resource management (or similar) to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles area.
As a Recruiter / Program Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development and implement recruiting strategies to achieve a diverse workforce through the academic year.
- Survey Division leaders to ensure that specific academic majors and skillsets are aligned with LASAN operational and support needs.
- Provide support to re-establish a recruiting team who will participate in campus career fairs, information sessions, and conference tabling. Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement to attract quality candidates which may include graphics, giveaways, flyers, social media, or other ways to appeal to prospective candidates.
- Provide support to identify Interview Raters and Proctors who require annual Personnel Department training.
- Support the scheduling of interviews for qualified candidates at university or conference sites or via an online platform. Some travel may be required.
- Prepare and present reports on findings and recommendations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices through other organizations who similarly recruit talent.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge that support the retention of new hires and communication through the hiring process.
Job Requirements
As a Recruiter / Program Coordinator, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field
- Recommended: 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
