The Senior Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water/wastewater asset management that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 10+ years of experience in engineering in the wastewater industry and is familiar with the equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and completing condition assessments. The position will be hybrid (on-site and remote) and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Chino area. 

Projects may include:

• Agencywide Recycled Waer Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Assessment
• REEP Facility Condition Assessment
• Agencywide Air Relief Valve Standardization and Replacement Project

As a Senior Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead or contribute to on-site condition assessments
• Interpret assessment data to identify recommended actions
• Prepare clear, actionable reports summarizing findings
• Update asset inventories and assist with risk prioritization
• Support planning efforts for asset rehabilitation or replacement
• Provide technical support in plant operations, maintenance, and reliability engineering
• Identify cost-effective strategies to implement Asset Management and CIP initiatives
• Direct the development of plans, specifications, designs, and cost estimates for multiple CIP projects

As a Senior Engineer, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible, diversified engineering and project management experience in public works projects, preferably in wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, and/or water distribution systems
• Ability to prepare and evaluate engineering studies of large projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve difficult plant operations and maintenance problems
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
