Project Partners is seeking a Water Quality Control Specialist with 3+ years of experience to assist our private client in the Apple Valley area. The position will be on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week). 

The Water Quality Control Specialist duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Organize sample bottles and coordinate sampling events. Sample types include organics, inorganics, radiologicals, bacteriologicals, and others.
• Serve as liaison with contracted laboratories.
• Create and maintain monitoring schedules and monitoring logs as necessary.
• Keep neat hand-written records, maintain computer databases, and communicate both verbally and in writing with government and public representatives regarding county, state, and federal compliance requirements.
• Prepare, review, and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
• Inspect company facilities such as wells, treatment facilities, reservoirs, sampling stations, pumps, etc., to ascertain their compliance with sanitary standards.

The Water Quality Control Specialist will have:

• Minimum of a high school diploma, plus 3 years of experience in the water production or engineering field or suitable equivalent
• SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 or SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade 2 is desired
• General knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations dealing with water quality is desired
• Knowledge of water distribution systems is desired
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
