Water Project Manager

Job Description
The Water Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water infrastructure design and construction that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Civil Engineer that has 10+ years of experience in water engineering and project management to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) in the Beaumont area.
Projects may include:
- East Branch Extension – 66-inch diameter pipeline
- Recharge Basin Upgrades – pipeline replacement, grading, and pipeline extensions
As a Water Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the planning, design, and construction of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), with a focus on groundwater recharge facilities such as recharge basins and conveyance systems.
- Preparing and evaluating requests for proposals (RFPs); overseeing consultants in developing engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensuring project designs complies with Agency standards; resolving design issues and coordinating environmental reviews.
- Monitoring construction progress, providing design engineering support, attending construction meetings, and performing field investigations.
- Responding to RFIs, participating in site acceptance testing and supporting startup and operational phases to confirm project goals are met.
Job Requirements
As a Water Project Manager, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible, diversified engineering and project management experience in public works projects, preferably in water conveyance and recharge or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) is desired
- Knowledge of engineering design, construction, contract administration and experienced in project/program management that relate to water facilities and infrastructure
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
