Job Description
The Junior Engineer or Engineering Technician selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in sewer system condition assessments that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. This is a highly coveted position with a well-respected public agency that offers long-term stability. We are looking for a Junior Engineer or Engineering Technician that has experience in sewer system condition assessments via CCTV to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles area.
As a Wastewater CCTV – Junior Engineer/Engineering Technician, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review CCTV footage to document defects and evaluate the overall condition of sewer systems, gaining hands-on experience with industry standards and assessment techniques.
- Record information from CCTV videos and log sheets in the condition assessment database, helping maintain accurate and essential records for infrastructure management.
- Support the transition of CCTV condition rating systems and database management tools.
- Assist in special studies on the sewer system as needed, contributing to important investigations and building a solid understanding of sewer operations.
- Work alongside CCTV inspection crews, operational staff, and contractors, gaining valuable coordination and teamwork experience in real-world projects.
- Help process, track, and organize videos, log sheets, and other documents, ensuring smooth workflows and gaining practical knowledge of project documentation.
Job Requirements
As a Wastewater CCTV – Junior Engineer/Engineering Technician, you will have:
- Experience in sewer condition assessment
- Knowledge of pipeline CCTV operations and coordination
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
