Senior Water Project Manager/Plan Check Engineer

Job Description
The Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in managing water infrastructure projects and plan check for development services that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 10+ years of experience to work on-site and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) in the Glendale area.
Projects may include:
- Pump Station Construction
- Reservoir Valve Replacement
As a Senior Water Project Manager/Plan Check Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review development plans for compliance with codes, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate the review and approval of permit applications, ensuring efficient processing.
- Collaborate with various city departments to facilitate comprehensive plan reviews.
- Provide guidance to developers and engineers regarding plan requirements and corrections.
- Prepare and review project scope, request for proposals (RFPs), specifications, and engineering designs.
- Implement the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of water engineering projects.
- Negotiate, administer, and manage agreements for consultant services, design, construction management, inspection, and other specialty services.
- Monitor and evaluate construction work in progress to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and material standards.
Job Requirements
As a Senior Water Project Manager/Plan Check Engineer, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field
- Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience and plan check experience
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
