Project Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Water Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to assist our public client in the Trabuco Canyon area. The position will be hybrid on-site/remote and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week). 

The Senior Water Project Manager duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and review project scope, request for proposals (RFPs), specifications, and engineering designs.
• Administer and supervise the implementation, execution and completion of water engineering projects.
• Negotiate, administer, and manage agreements for consultant services, design, construction management, inspection, and other specialty services.
• Monitor construction work in progress to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
• Provide technical and operational assistance to staff and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
• Resolve design/construction problems and review change order approvals.
• Represent and make presentations to member agencies, at public hearings, professional organizations, other public agencies, and consulting engineers and contractors.

The Senior Water Project Manager will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering
• Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum 15 years of professional engineering experience in construction and project management of water engineering projects
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
