The Water Design Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water infrastructure design that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Civil Engineer that has 15+ years of experience in water distribution system pipeline design to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Riverside area. 

As a Senior Water Design Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform design work of water utility capital improvement projects that include water distribution and transmission pipelines, booster stations, groundwater wells, and other related facilities.
• Lead the preparation of construction plans for water utility facilities using Autodesk Civil 3D, AEC, and AutoCAD.
• Prepare technical reports, Board and Council reports, and bid packages for water system facilities and infrastructure.
• Perform construction cost estimates, hydraulic calculations, pipe and pump sizing, and determination of electric motor efficiencies.
• Serve as a liaison with contractors, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring project alignment with goals and expectations.

As a Senior Water Design Engineer, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
• 15+ years of experience in professional water engineering and design
• Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D, AEC, and AutoCAD
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
