Senior Stormwater Project/Construction Manager

Job Description

The Water Project Manager/Construction Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience with stormwater facility projects that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Senior Engineer that has 15+ years of experience in stormwater project/construction management to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles area with an estimated start in 2025. 

As a Senior Stormwater Project / Construction Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of water engineering projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate construction work in progress to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and material standards.
  • Provide support by performing calculations and plan check reviews for construction activities.
  • Oversee construction of multiple capital projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources towards the completion of assigned projects.
  • Prepare, monitor, and report on project schedules and budgets and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Monitor quality control and inspection activities on assigned projects and suggest corrective actions when required.
  • Coordinate field changes with appropriate engineering staff.
  • Prepare and present to supervisor periodic reports on progress of assigned projects.

Job Requirements

As a Senior Stormwater Project / Construction Manager, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related engineering
  • Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Preferred: QSD Certification
  • Experience in providing engineering project and construction management for Stormwater BMP type devices and facilities
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
