Job Description
The Senior Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in public works engineering that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a professionally licensed Civil Engineer that has 10+ years of experience in plan checking to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Encinitas area.
As a Senior Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct technical reviews of various public works engineering projects, including utilities, infrastructure, and roadway improvements.
- Review and process developers’ engineering submittals.
- Ensure compliance with codes, ordinances, governmental requirements, reports, and calculations.
- Accept permit applications for review and assist in the processing and issuance of permits.
Job Requirements
As a Senior Engineer, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field
- Required: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
- Required: experience in plan checking, review of developer submittals, and the review and processing of permits
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
