Job Description
Project Partners is seeking an experienced Public Works Construction Inspector with at least 5 years of experience to assist our public client in the Montclair area. The position will be on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
The Public Works Construction Inspector duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Reviews plans and specifications of assigned public works projects and inspects all phases for conformance.
- Consults with engineering staff regarding problems and change alternatives.
- Prepares and maintains daily inspection reports, progress payments, change orders, claims, and other written documentation.
- Reviews contractor’s quantities of completed work for monthly payment.
- Projects may include street improvements, park upgrades, alley improvements, and other general public works projects.

Job Requirements
The Public Works Construction Inspector will have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing construction inspection on public works projects
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
