The Plan Check Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in overseeing the technical review of developer submittals related to water and wastewater utility projects. This opportunity can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 8+ years of experience in design or plan checking for wet utilities to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) in the Rancho Cucamonga area. 

As a Plan Check Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide in-depth review of work performed by Technicians involved in plan checking developer submittals of water and wastewater utilities projects for residential construction.
• Ensure that all technical documentation, engineering plans, and calculations meet established standards and specifications.
• Engage directly with developers on easement matters, technical submittals, and engineering concerns.
• Review and verify calculations provided by developer engineering consultants for accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as a liaison with local agencies to ensure alignment and compliance with regional standards and regulations.

As a Plan Check Engineer, you will have:

• 8+ years of experience in design, plan checking, or review of wet utility projects (e.g., water and wastewater infrastructure).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related
• Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
