Lead Resident Engineer

Job Description
The Lead Resident Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in construction of wastewater treatment plants that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Resident Engineer that has 10+ years of experience with wastewater treatment plant and related infrastructure construction to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Orange County area.
Projects may include:
- Plant 1 Headworks Replacement Project
As a Lead Resident Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Implement and enforce the project’s Quality Plan to ensure all contract requirements are met.
- Respond to RFIs and RFCs, manage contract change processes, and prepare engineer’s estimates and change orders.
- Lead reviews of contractor submittals and commissioning plans to confirm compliance with project specifications.
- Serve as the primary client interface, coordinating with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders, coordinating activities with outside agencies.
- Coordinate and manage on-site personnel, oversee testing agencies, and maintain project records.
- Prepare and review progress reports and assist with substantial and final completion documents.
Job Requirements
As a Lead Resident Engineer, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of extensive construction experience with wastewater treatment plants and related infrastructure
- Strong understanding of reading and interpreting construction plans and contract specifications
- Preferred: Experience with construction management software, like Procore or Primavera P6
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
