Project Partners is seeking an I&C/Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of experience providing electrical or I&C engineering in the wastewater industry or for heavy industrial projects. The position is on-site and part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, in the Fountain Valley area.   

Projects may include:

• Equipment Replacement at a Wastewater Treatment Plant
• Rehabilitation of various elements of a wastewater treatment facility
• Rehabilitation of appurtenances to I&C/Electrical components

As an I&C/Electrical Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide engineering support and develop practical solutions for electrical, instrumentation, and controls (I&C) issues identified by Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Evaluate field conditions and review P&IDs, electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Develop scopes of work and technical requirements for bid packages involving electrical and I&C system repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
• Review contractor submittals and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and agency standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, field staff, Operations, Maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support project implementation.

As an I&C/Electrical Engineer, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related
• At minimum, 2 years of progressive experience providing electrical or I&C engineering in the wastewater industry or heavy industrial projects
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans and specifications
• Knowledge of computer-aided drafting (CAD) concepts and applications
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
• Must be able to commute to Fountain Valley, CA. Relocation assistance is not provided.
