Job Description

Project Partners is seeking a Hydrogeologist that under general direction, assuming responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and executing comprehensive project work in support of the groundwater activities, Capital Expansion Programs, and/or Groundwater Development Programs.  Also to perform high-level complex engineering and geology/hydrogeology related work on project planning, design, and construction programs; plans, organizes, directs.  And also to review the work of program or project professionals and technical staff within their company; administer the design and preparation of major production and monitoring well construction projects; supports updates to the groundwater basin modeling efforts.  Duties include:

  • Plans, leads, organizes, and reviews the work of professional and technical staff, complex planning, engineering and geology/hydrogeology projects and programs
  • Performs high-level complex geologic, hydrogeologic, and engineering programs and project work
  • Participates in the execution and implementation of the Capital Improvement Program
  • Plans, leads, organizes, and reviews the work of professional and technical staff in the conduct of complex planning, engineering and geology/hydrogeology projects and programs
  • Performs high-level complex geologic, hydrogeologic, and engineering programs and project work
  • Reviews project documents including, but not limited to, planning reports, feasibility studies, preliminary design reports, as-built records and reports, and project communications
  • Prepares Board and committee letter packets for project approvals

Job Requirements

Licenses/Certifications:

  • A valid certificate of Professional Geologist, Certified Engineering Geologist, Certified Hydrogeologist issued by the State of California, or registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • A valid California driver’s license.
  • Five to Ten (5 to 10) years of progressively responsible professional experience supporting in engineering, geology, or hydrogeologic and water resources planning, development, and construction programs or projects, three (3) years of which should be in a program-management capacity, or three (3) years of experience as a Senior Engineering Geologist or Senior Civil Engineer.
