Job Description
The opportunity seeks a GIS Programmer to contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications within the public sector. This role offers valuable experience working on Geographic Information Systems projects with the potential to enhance career prospects in public sector roles. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in creating GIS-based tools for planning activities, based in the Los Angeles area on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize computer and web programming skills to create and manage web applications that enhance city operations and improve public access to essential information, contributing significantly to community development.
- Leverage expertise in Geographic Information Systems to develop and maintain datasets, generate informative maps, and analyze geographic data crucial for enhancing sewer services and infrastructure planning.
- Lead the development of GIS-based tools to streamline sewer planning processes, directly impacting the city's operational efficiency and modernization efforts.
- Contribute to the implementation and integration of enterprise-level asset management, project management, and GIS software to optimize wastewater utility operations and asset management, ultimately enhancing service delivery.

Key Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the following:
- Developing Esri Javascript API applications, with expertise in:
- Esri data types including fgdb and shapefiles
- ETL creation for Esri data
- JavaScript programming
- Creating REST Web APIs
- Utilizing DBMS technology such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and Access
- Proficiency in using Git for version control
- Advanced understanding of APIs and conducting code reviews
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Service Bus and SQL MI concepts
- Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise for system architecture, maintenance, monitoring, and Hub/Site development and deployment
- Integration of software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a highly skilled team
- Experience troubleshooting client issues related to application deployment and system architecture
- Design and implementation of mobile or location-based business applications
- Eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. without restrictions or need for work sponsorship
- Possession of a valid CA Driver's License and insurance
Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in managing IIS Servers
- Proficiency in utilizing ColdFusion
- Expertise in developing with .NET Core / C#
- Capability to create custom web applications, particularly those developed by public agencies
- Knowledge of enterprise web applications, specifically OpenGov
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts alongside on-premise solutions
