Job Description
The GIS Technician selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience and develop a skillset in reviewing engineering documents that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a GIS Technician that has 3+ years of experience to work on-site or remote and part-time (approximately 8-10 hours per week) in the Riverside area.
As a GIS Technician, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review GIS data from consultants for their accuracy as transferred from CAD and as-built drawings.
- Assist in the completion of the as-built process by working closely with Development Services and the Engineering teams.
- Research, interpret, and analyze data records for projects.
- Organize, maintain, and archive computer files.
- Create and maintain reports.
Job Requirements
As a GIS Technician, you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with GIS.
- Experience with CAD.
- Understanding of as-built drawings for water facilities and how to read them.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
