Engineering Technician - CCTV

Job Description
The Engineering Technician selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in sewer system condition assessments that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. This is a highly coveted position with a well-respected public agency that offers long-term stability. We are looking for a Engineering Technician or Junior Engineer that has experience in sewer system condition assessments via CCTV to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles area.
As an Engineering Technician - CCTV, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review CCTV footage, document defects, and make a determination of the overall structural and operational condition of sewers according to established guidelines.
- Document information from CCTV videos and log sheets in the condition assessment database.
- Assist in the transition of CCTV condition rating system and database management systems.
- Investigate and prepare special studies on the sewer system as needed.
- Coordinate activities of CCTV inspection crews, operational staff, and contractors.
- Provide support for processing, tracking and filing numerous videos, log sheets and other documents.
Job Requirements
As an Engineering Technician - CCTV, you will have:
- Experience in sewer condition assessment
- Knowledge of pipeline CCTV operations and coordination
- Preferred: NASSCO Sewer System Assessment Certification
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
