Job Description
The Engineering Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water and wastewater facility design and construction that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater facilities to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Sutter Creek area.
Projects may include:
- Treatment Plant Projects
- Water Tank Replacements
- Water Pump Stations
- Wastewater Liftstations
- Waterline Projects
As an Engineering Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leads and manages the full lifecycle of water and wastewater facility projects—from initial planning and design through to final construction.
- Plays a key role in budget development, including managing engineering consultants to ensure projects stay on track and within financial goals.
- Collaborates with developers and contractors to uphold rigorous standards and specifications throughout project execution.
- Oversees and contributes to the preparation and review of advanced engineering designs, plans, specifications, standards, cost estimates, and technical reports for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Coordinates the development of bids and contracts, providing technical guidance on all matters related to engineering and construction services.
- Conducts or supports the review and inspection of construction activities, ensuring quality and compliance with approved plans for water and wastewater systems.
- Delivers well-organized, clear, and insightful reports to support informed decision-making.
- Presents complex engineering topics to the Board of Directors in a compelling and accessible manner.
Job Requirements
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
- At minimum, 5 years of experience in water/wastewater facilities
- Preferred: At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge and understanding of spreadsheet and word processing software, and GIS/CAD software
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
