Electrical Engineer - Water System Design

Job Description
Project Partners is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in water system design to assist our private client in the Torrance area. The position will be on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
The Electrical Engineer duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare construction drawings and write specifications in the process of completing electrical design of water system facilities
- Perform advanced engineering calculations for low and medium voltage power distribution and motor control, including voltage drop calculations, breaker coordination studies, and short circuit current calculations
- Prepare construction contracts, bids projects and awards contracts
- Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and analyzes/selects successful consultants or vendors
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage and communicate with project-specific contractors, consultants, agencies, and staff
- Provide construction and project management of water facilities
Job Requirements
The Electrical Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) is desired
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in water system electrical design is desired
- Detailed understanding of National Electric Code (NEC), electrical construction, and motor control centers
- Experience with AutoCAD software
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
