Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description
The Electrical Design Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in process electrical design for wastewater treatment facilities that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer that has 10+ years of experience in process electrical design to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and on an as-needed basis in the Playa Del Rey area. Travel/relocation allowance not provided.
The Electrical Design Engineer duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform electrical design for process equipment and facilities related to wastewater treatment.
- Develop electrical drawings, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct independent field investigations and collect field data to support design work.
- Design substations, main power distribution, and motor control centers.
- Design medium-voltage power distribution systems.
- Design and layout of duct banks, pull boxes, and lighting and receptacle systems.
- Preparation of point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Provide support during construction phase.
- Respond to RFIs and review material submittals.
- Assist in start-up activities and in developing Operations and Maintenance manuals.
Job Requirements
The Electrical Design Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Licensed California Professional Electrical Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in process electrical design, with some experience in wastewater treatment facilities
- Knowledge and application of industry codes and standards like National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA, etc.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
