The Construction Manager/Resident Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in construction of wastewater treatment plants that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Resident Engineer that has 8+ years of experience with wastewater treatment plant and related infrastructure construction to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Orange County area. 

Projects may include:

• Plant 1 Headworks Replacement Project
• Liftstation and Sewer System Rehabilitation and Replacement

As a Construction Manager/Resident Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Implement and enforce the project’s Quality Plan to ensure all contract requirements are met.
• Respond to RFIs and RFCs, manage contract change processes, and prepare engineer’s estimates and change orders.
• Lead reviews of contractor submittals and commissioning plans to confirm compliance with project specifications.
• Serve as the primary client interface, coordinating with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders, coordinating activities with outside agencies.
• Coordinate and manage on-site personnel, oversee testing agencies, and maintain project records.
• Prepare and review progress reports and assist with substantial and final completion documents.

As a Construction Manager/Resident Engineer , you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 8+ years of extensive construction experience with wastewater treatment plants and related infrastructure
• Strong understanding of reading and interpreting construction plans and contract specifications
• Preferred: Experience with construction management software, like Procore or Primavera P6
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
