Civil Engineering Assistant - Air Regulations
Job Description
Project Partners is seeking a Civil Engineering Assistant with 1+ years of experience in air regulations to assist our public client in the Santa Ana area. The position will be on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
The Civil Engineering Assistant duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support on landfill regulatory aspects of air quality (AQMD regulations).
- Provide engineering support on data collection, inspections, and preparing and review of technical documents, plans, and specifications.
- Prepare regulatory reports that monitor closed and active solid waste disposal sites.
- Provide quality assurance of data submitted by engineering field staff and contractors.
- Prepare permit submittals and fee payment schedules.
- Assist with regulatory inspections.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to help maintain compliance with regulations.

Job Requirements
The Civil Engineering Assistant will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- Possess a valid California Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate is desired
- Knowledge of South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) regulations as they pertain to landfills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in regulatory compliance and regulatory report writing
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in landfill gas issues and interacting with regulators, regulatory staff, and other solid waste agencies
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
