CIP Project Manager

Job Description
Project Partners is seeking an experienced CIP Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to assist our public client in the Escondido area. The position will be hybrid on-site/remote and either part-time or full-time (approximately 25-40 hours per week).
The CIP Project Manager duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and review project scope, request for proposals (RFPs), specifications, and engineering designs.
- Implement the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of capital improvement engineering projects, including parks and street improvements.
- Manage, coordinate, and supervise multiple consultants and contractors on complex projects and monitor consultant budgets.
- Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and contracts.
- Coordinate and collaborate with departments, divisions, and outside agencies.
- Manage the construction of CIP projects, approve construction and design changes, and negotiate and approve construction change orders.
- Monitor and evaluate construction work in progress to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and material standards.
- Provide support by performing calculations and plan check reviews for construction activities.
Job Requirements
The CIP Project Manager will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of full-time, continuous experience of responsible public works project management, preferably for a public sector agency
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
