Job Description

The Senior Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water operations and maintenance that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a professionally licensed Engineer that has 15+ years of experience in asset management and capital improvement programs to work hybrid (on-site/remote) and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Chino area. 

Projects may include:

  • Recycled Water Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Assessment
  • Renewable Energy Efficiency Project (REEP) Condition Assessment
  • Air Relief Valve Standardization and Replacement Project

As a Senior Associate Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides frontline technical guidance and consulting assistance to plant management/operators to troubleshoot and resolve myriad operations and maintenance issues.
  • Performs professional engineering-related duties for several functional areas, including CIP project planning/design, engineering and construction project management, maintenance/reliability engineering, plant operations technical support, energy management, and recycled water program management.
  • Manage capital improvement, operations, and maintenance projects, including pipeline, mechanical, electrical, and co-generation projects, from inception to completion.
  • Develop cost-effective methods to implement Asset Management and Capital Improvement programs.
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) from engineering consultants and evaluate proposals.
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, designs, and project cost estimates for multiple CIP projects.

Job Requirements

As a Senior Associate Engineer, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Required: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Required: At least 15 years of progressively responsible and diversified engineering and project management experience in public works projects, preferably in a wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, and water distribution systems
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
