Electrical Engineer - Design

Job Description
Project Partners is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in design of wastewater treatment to assist our public client in the Los Angeles area. The position will be hybrid on-site/remote and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
The Electrical Engineer duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform electrical design for various wastewater treatment plant improvement projects.
- Develop electrical drawings, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct independent field investigations and collect field data to support design work.
- Design substations, main power distribution, and motor control centers.
- Design medium-voltage power distribution systems.
- Design and layout of duct banks, pull boxes, and lighting and receptacle systems.
- Preparation of point-to-point wiring diagrams.

Job Requirements
The Electrical Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Licensed California Professional Electrical Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of wastewater treatment or similar industrial facilities
- Knowledge and application of industry codes and standards like National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA, etc.
- ENV SP certification or must obtain within two (2) months of being hired
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
