Job Description
The Construction Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water and wastewater construction projects that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has 8+ years of experience in construction phase engineering for water/wastewater projects to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and part-time (approximately 16-20 hours per week) in the Corona area.
Projects may include:
- Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Water Wells
- Flow Vaults/Facilities
Perform constructability review on water and wastewater facility projects
As a Construction Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee construction activities, including plant upgrades and new facility construction, to maintain project quality and timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
- Review and approve construction submittals, RFIs, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship and adherence to specifications.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Work with design engineers to address field issues and implement necessary design changes.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
- Handle communication and permitting processes with relevant jurisdictions to keep projects on track.
Job Requirements
As a Construction Manager, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related
- 8+ years of experience in providing project management on water and wastewater projects
- Experience providing constructability review
- Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) is desired
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
