Asset Management Engineer

Job Description
The Asset Management Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in wastewater infrastructure and facilities’ asset management that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for an Engineer that has some experience or knowledge of GIS or data input to work hybrid (on-site and remote) and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles area.
As an Asset Management Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct engineering investigations to support asset management, including data migration, GIS schema review, and functional system improvements.
- Coordinate configuration of production environments, cutover schedules, pre-launch testing, and go-live communication.
- Lead testing, issue resolution, retesting, user training, and readiness activities for system go-live.
- Analyze asset performance data using statistical and machine learning methods to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate asset risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Collect and analyze sewer data (hydraulic, structural, and condition information) to support technical decision-making.
- Perform hydraulic and structural analyses of large-diameter sewers to reduce risks of collapse or sanitary sewer overflow.
- Plan and execute pilot projects to evaluate new technologies, preparing technical reports and recommendations for sewer rehabilitation or O&M prioritization.
- Prepare technical memorandums and studies on wastewater systems, focusing on large-diameter sewer planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
- May supervise or coordinate small teams of professional and technical staff involved in design, construction, or operation of water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities.
Job Requirements
As an Asset Management Engineer, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related
- 0-5 years of experience in engineering, with knowledge or experience in GIS or data input
- Strong report writing skills, verbal skill to develop rapport with diverse stakeholders, and organizational abilities
- Preferred: Knowledge of the wastewater collection system analysis in the determination of deficiencies and necessary improvements
- Preferred: Experience in working with GIS and Data Input, which can translate to memorandum and report development
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
